Club Garibaldi

2501 South Superior Street

Club Garibaldi, located at 2501 South Superior Street has a long history of featuring big bands and dance bands dating back to the early 1930s under various versions of the name Paradise (e.g., Paradise Music Hall, Paradise Gardens, Paradise Club). Milwaukee jazz pianist Sig Millonzi got his start there at age 13 working with a big band. It became Club Garibaldi in the early 1940s, and still continues today. In the mid-1970s, Millonzi led his big band there on Mondays for a couple of years.
