Club C.O.D. / Dmitri's

The distinctive building located at 4443 West Lisbon Avenue once housed a grocery store, but by the early 1940s had become a restaurant and tavern. From 1947 to the mid-1950s, it operated as Club C.O.D. and, in addition to offering food and cocktails, presented jazz groups such as the Scat Johnson Trio. In 1959, it became Dmitri’s and continued presenting jazz into the early 1970s.
