Chip & Py’s

Chip & Py’s, a restaurant located at 815 South Fifth Street, featured jazz duos of piano and bass from the early 1980s until the business relocated to Mequon in 1991. Pianist David Hazeltine and bassist Gerald Cannon performed there on Fridays and Saturdays throughout much of that period. The Mequon location, at 1340 West Towne Square Road, also presented jazz, featuring performers such as Dan Dance, George Welland, Mark Davis, and Jim Paolo. In 2007, the restaurant became Harvey’s Central Grill and continued to offer live music for several more years.
