Toty is a jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger and has led his own bands for several decades. His renowned La Chazz was active for 30 years, from 1978-2018. They performed at major musical venues throughout the years, including eight years at Cafe Melange (The Wisconsin Hotel ). Over 60 of the Midwest's best musicians played in La Chazz at one time or another. In the '80s, Toty composed and orchestrated two compositions for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s “Vibrations Unlimited Series." It was a musical collaboration between the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and La Chazz.
