World-renowned drummer Matt Wilson leads the Christmas Tree-O, a swinging, holiday-centric group featuring Jeff Lederer on reeds and Paul Sikivie on bass. This performance is part of their 2023 Yule Dig Tour.
The Tree-O, a mainstay of the holiday season, always delights when bringing their signature festive flair to audiences around the US and Canada. Now in its thirteenth year, it is recognized as one of the most vibrant and fun-loving ensembles in jazz today.
In November of 2002, they recorded a single, Mariah /McCintyre, which combines Mariah Carey‘s All I Want for Christmas Is You w/ avant-garde saxophone legend Kalaparusha Maurice McCintyre’s Kwanza. In addition, the Christmas Tree-O was the featured group on the 2022 NPR Jazz Night’s Holiday Show.
