JAZZ GUITAR LICKS LAB: BLUES LICKS FOR THE JAZZ CAT

ONLINE WORKSHOP WITH PAUL SILBERGLEIT

In this recurring hands-on workshop with MJI guitar instructor Paul Silbergleit, you can start building a vocabulary of melodic ideas for jazz improvisation by trying out a few simple, short, easily playable lines or “licks.” Technical tips for their execution on guitar will be given, along with examples of how they may fit into an improvised solo. This month, we’ll focus on blues licks as they may appear in a jazz setting.
