JAZZ GUITAR LICKS LAB

ONLINE WORKSHOP WITH PAUL SILBERGLEIT

In this monthly hands-on workshop with MJI guitar instructor Paul Silbergleit, you can start building a vocabulary of melodic ideas for jazz improvisation, through trying out a few simple, short, easily playable lines or “licks.” Each session will focus on just a few licks, with technical tips for their execution on guitar, as well as some examples of how they may fit into an improvised solo. Open to non-guitarists too, as an aide to developing linear soloing skills!

Cost: $15

Attendees need to purchase advance tickets. Attendees will receive a link and instructions an hour prior to the event to allow easy access to the workshop from a computer, tablet, or smartphone via Zoom Video Conferencing. Registration is open until 15 minutes before the start of the workshop. Links will be sent promptly to those who sign up just prior to the start time.
