About the Event

Using Miles Davis’s solo on “Freddie Freeloader” as an example, Eric Jacobson will give you tips on learning by ear, show you how to notate and analyze melodic lines, and demonstrate ways to incorporate the techniques of the jazz masters into your own playing. Open to instrumentalists, vocalists, and jazz fans of all ages.


Cost: $15


Attendees need to purchase advance tickets. Attendees will receive a link and instructions an hour prior to the event to allow easy access to the workshop from a computer, tablet, or smartphone via Zoom Video Conferencing. Registration is open until 15 minutes before the start of the workshop. Links will be sent promptly to those who sign up just prior to the start time. (Be sure to check your SPAM/JUNK if you don't find a message in your inbox.)
