The Chuck LaPaglia Jazz Film Series will continue with the screening of Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool. The MJI "A" Train Ensemble will conclude the event by performing several Miles Davis pieces following the film.
The documentary Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool is a look at the life story of the legendary musician Miles Davis. Directed by Stanley Nelson, the film features appearances by Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Carlos Santana, and many other stars, as well as archival video commentary by Miles Davis himself.
