The film series features monthly jazz-related movies and live performances by local jazz combos playing tunes related to the featured film. The "hybrid" film/live music series is dedicated to Chuck LaPaglia, who as owner of the Jazz Gallery, produced spectacular concerts featuring internationally-known artists including Dizzy Gillespie, Betty Carter, Freddie Hubbard, Stan Getz, Max Roach, Jimmy Smith, Sun Ra, Mose Allison, Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Dexter Gordon, Chet Baker, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Manty Ellis and many more.
Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. A $10 per person donation to the Jazz Gallery (a 501(C)(3) non-profit) is suggested for those who attend. Popcorn, candy, and beverages are available for purchase to enjoy during the film.
