Bassist, educator, and author Clay Schaub will teach you the essential aspects of bass playing using his book, Build Walking Bass Lines In 14 Days: Jazz & Blues Bass Lines for Upright and Electric Bass, as the text. This 7-week course is perfect for beginning and intermediate bassists (or even pianists or organists) looking for a methodical approach to improving their ability to create great sounding bass lines. Topics will include the blues, how to groove, bass line recipes, scales and chords, common progressions, and fundamental rhythms.

Join us for some discussion, demonstration, group exercises, call-and-response, and a little accountability as you work on the craft of bass playing!
