SISTER BAY PERFORMANCE PAVILION, SISTER BAY, WI
Three-time Grammy® award-winning trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Brian Lynch joins the MJI Quintet for this special performance. From Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and the Horace Silver Quintet, Lynch has received wide acclaim throughout his incredible career including during long tenures with Latin Jazz legend Eddie Palmieri and straight-ahead master Phil Woods as well as pop luminaries such as Prince.
Also joining the MJI Quintet is Dakarai Barclay, a trumpeter and educator currently based in Chicago, Illinois. Dakarai is a recent graduate of William Paterson University, where he studied under Jeremy Pelt while receiving his Master of Music. Prior to his tenure at William Paterson, Dakarai was a student at Morehouse College where he studied under Melvin Jones and Gordon Vernick (Georgia State University).
