About the Ensemble
Currently, the students in the FOOTPRINTS ENSEMBLE are ages 13-15 students. There are openings in this ensemble for:
trumpet
guitar
SPRING TERM
Sundays from 5 to 7 p.m.
Term fee $495 (15-weeks)
All rehearsals and classes are held at the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts (926 E Center Street, Milwaukee, WI 53212).
Spring term start date: Sunday, January 11, 2026
No rehearsal dates: Sunday, April 5, 2026
Last rehearsal: Sunday, April 26, 2026
Final performance: Sat. May 2 or Sun. May 3, 2026 @ Sam's Place Jazz Cafe (3338 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. Milwaukee, WI 53212)
*Students who have been invited to join this ensemble should complete the Registration Form.
*Students who have joined this ensemble should pay the term fee before the second rehearsal of the term.
*Please notify us as soon as you become aware of a schedule conflict. We need time to find a sub in order to hold a constructive rehearsal in your absence.

Your Instructor
Mark Davis
Mark Davis is an accomplished pianist and an influential educator who has performed with jazz luminaries Eric Alexander, Peter Bernstein, Benny Golson, Slide Hampton, Tom Harrell, Jimmy Heath, Brian Lynch, Charles McPherson, Frank Morgan, and Phil Woods, among others. He is the founder and artistic director of the Milwaukee Jazz Institute. He also teaches privately and is on the music faculty of Alverno College. Mark is the author of two top-selling books, the Hal Leonard Jazz Piano Method Book 1 and the Hal Leonard Jazz Piano Method Book 2. He is a founding member of the group We Six, which recently released an album entitled Vivid Dreams.
